John Woo is back, bigger but maybe not better. I went to Camberwell on Sunday to see this preview of the soon to-be release film. The man that gave us "Face/off" has given us a work of art that takes us back to 208AD where China was filled with unease and war was a daliy activity.I must say the battle scene are brilliant but I became somewhat remote from the characters though they are developed very well. Maybe there was a real lack of understanding on the part of good & evil. At the end of the day I really didn’t care who won as long as it ended.
Epic but not such a masterpiece 6 out of 10.
